Sega released today, by way of Famitsu.com, the first screenshots of the upcoming PS4 and PS3 prequel of the Yakuza series, titled Yakuza Zero: The Oath’s Place.

The screenshots showcase the 1988 versions of the fictional Kamurocho and Soutenbori districts in Tokyo and Osaka, which will serve as backdrops for the game.

We also get a much younger but not less imposing version of protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, when he was still working as a debt collector for the Tojo Clan.

Last, but not least, we can check out the fan favorite “Mad Dog of the Shimano Family” Goro Majima, in an unusual attire, as he poses as the polite and bold manager of the “Grand” cabaret club in Osaka.

No, really. I’m not Joking.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
