Yesterday, fans all over were finally able to mark their calendars for this fall's release of the long-awaited Final Fantasy XV with Square Enix's "Uncovered" event, and along with its numerous trailers and reveals, the most recent trailer featured a brand new cover coming from the acclaimed, Grammy Award-winning group Florence + The Machine.

In a new video published by the official YouTube channel for Final Fantasy XV, Florence Welch discussed working on the series latest installment and contributing music for the title, with the game's new trailer featuring her brand new cover of the classic song by Ben E. King, "Stand By Me."

Welch addresses in the video how she got involved with Square Enix, helping to contribute music to the game, and her own personal history with the series, adding that "'Stand By Me' is one of the greatest songs probably of all time so I was really glad that the game had chosen this song to do" in a Facebook post with the video. The group added that with the cover, "we really wanted to make it our own, bringing it into the world of Florence + The Machine and the world of Final Fantasy XV."

Welch added that "I've always seen Final Fantasy as a beautiful and creative game so I don't think I I could have worked with another video game," explaining that "in some ways the landscape of Final Fantasy and my own internal landscape seemed to fit quite well, it's mythical and beautiful and epic."

Final Fantasy XV will release for PS4 and Xbox One on September 30th, 2016 - in the meantime, you can check out the full behind-the-scenes video featuring Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine below:
