Fly Punch Boom! Reveals Playable Demo Alongside Theme Song Trailer
This looks like a mix between Brawlhalla and Dragon Ball Z.
Fly Punch Boom! is a title from Jollypunch Games that seems to be all about action-packed fighting in which you’re able to throw your opponent through skyscrapers and…slap a whale in their face. A trailer has been released as well as a free demo.
Described as an over-the-top anime action beat ’em up, Fly Punch Boom! seems to take a 2D fighter style similar to Brawlhalla, but allows players to fly as well as throwing the enemy into the destructive environments. Players can take part in arcade mode which comes with unlockables and secrets to discover for solo players, but there’s also an option to play locally with 4 players or online with 2.
Each stage has a fatality, with some resulting in a blasted player smashing a planet in half, being mauled by cats, or exploding the moon. In total, it’s revealed that there are over 40 fatalities to discover. To add to the heavy anime inspiration, a soundtrack by Giogiost ramps up the intensity throughout the game. You can check out the brand new trailer below which actually showcases the theme song.
Back in 2018, the game had a trailer showing off the gameplay, and it certainly seems as if a lot of improvements have been made, particularly to the sheer speed and intensity of the combat.
If you’re interested in trying the game out, Fly Punch Boom!: First Impact! has been revealed, a free trial version of the game. It’s available to download and play directly through Steam.
No official release date has been announced, but Fly Punch Boom! is to be heading to PC and Switch soon.
