For most soccer fans, there are two options when it comes to choosing which video game they'll buy to play their favorite sport digitally. You're either a FIFA player or a PES player. However, there is quickly becoming a third popular option in the form of sim series Football Manager. This series focuses completely on running a team as the manager instead of playing the games yourself. We found out today that the latest version is coming in November via a cheeky announce trailer. Watch it below.

I love this trailer. It's a humorous challenge to the fans on Instagram and Twitter who believe they could do a much better job than the suits who run their favorite team. And that really is what Football Manager is all about. You'll have spreadsheets and spreadsheets of data at your fingertips, and it's your job to field the best eleven players you can to win some silverware.

FM is not the series for everyone. Compared to the speed of the action in FIFA, Football Manager is particularly lethargic. You'll put more focus on scouting and developing talent than mastering flashy skill moves. Really, the game sits in a completely different genre. That said, for fans who love FIFA's career mode, but can't stand how little control they have, FM is something of a godsend. You might not score the winning goal, but that doesn't mean victory feels any less sweet when you're the manager who scouted that little-known player and turned him into one of the very best in the world.

Football Manager 2020 will be out in November for PC.
