Originally released early last year, Ubisoft's For Honor put players into the Viking, Samurai, and Knight-sized shoes of medieval era combatants, and now those who have yet to experience the melee-focused combat title will be able to try it out for free next weekend.

Ubisoft has announced that a free weekend for For Honor will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC from May 3rd through May 6th, which will allow players on those platforms to experience the full game including all multiplayer modes, the campaign, and the roster of 12 hero characters that launched with the game.

In addition to those features, naturally players will also get to experience all of the game's content and updates since launch, such as the recent introduction of dedicated servers, and the numerous balance changes and tweaks to its characters.

For the Free Weekend, Ubisoft will also be re-introducing the "Warrior Training Program" that will pair up new players with more experienced veterans (in exchange for XP boosts), while the game itself will be available at a discounted price across all digital stores until May 15th. Progress and experience earned during the free weekend will also carry over for players that decide to purchase the full game. Ubisoft will also be hosting a livestream on May 3rd, 2018 at 9am PT to kickoff the free weekend, and will also provide players watching with free in-game loot.

For Honor is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
