For Honor Shadows of The Hitokiri Event Announced at Ubisoft’s E3 Conference

For Honor's Shadows of the Hitokiri event begins today. It includes a brand new Soul Rush mode, a new hero, map, and a number of customizations items.

For Honor is getting a brand new event called Shadows of The Hitokiri. The best part? It starts today. For Honor fans can jump in, start playing the new Soul Rush mode, and start collecting brand new spectral customizations for all of their favorite players right now. Check out the announcement below.

The trailer gives off some creepy vibes as you’ll be entering the realm of specters and Sakura the Spirit of Death. You will clash against enemy fighters in a secluded village thought to be haunted by Sakura’s victims. The event adds a ghostly new Hitokiri warrior. These executioners are “manslayers” who have had their hearts stripped from them. They instill fear on the battlefield when the lift their massive masakari axes.

The Soul Rush mode is a race to acquire as many souls as possible. However, it’s not just about killing everyone, you also have to protect your own soul. You begin with your own stock of souls and every time an enemy kills you, a portion of your soul goes to that player. As you gather souls, you can deposit them in designated spots on the map until you have enough to secure your team victory. Each time you play during the new event, you’ll be able to earn event exclusive customization options for every hero in the game.

You can pick up For Honor on PC, PS4, and Xbox One now. The event is available now through June 27. So get in there and start slaughtering your opponents. Be sure to also check out For Honor‘s new Spectator Mode while you’re at it. Stay tuned to Dualshockers for all of the big news coming out of E3 this week.
