For The Frog The Bell Tolls Fan Translation Released

For The Frog The Bell Tolls, known in Japan as Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru, has just gotten a full fan translation courtesy of Ryan Parnas and his team. The game is considered the precursor to Link’s Awakening, with its overhead maps and 2D-sidescroller elements. (Link’s Awakening even used the same engine and many of its assets.)

The game tells the story of two rival princes in their quest to out-do each other and save the princess. From what I’ve heard, the story is great, and the gameplay video they released shows that they’ve done a good job with the writing to support it.

The translation and instructions on how to install it can be found here.
