Forager Clears 600K Copies Sold, Several Updates on the Horizon
Six hundred thousand Forager fans can't be wrong.
Forager is an excellent mix of idle game mechanics and classic adventure/exploration games. It launched on PC a year ago tomorrow and today developer HopFrog announced the game has just surpassed a major milestone. The hit indie game has now sold over 600,000 copies, a massive achievement for what could have easily been a super niche indie release. Of course, you can’t have a birthday celebration without some type of present. To that end, HopFrog is putting the game on sale for a week. Give Forager a look below.
My little game #Forager has been out for an entire year, and has sold over 600k copies! WOW!
Celebrate with me by taking a look back and learning some cool data!
Forager will also be 33% off all week! 😄

Alongside the announcement, HopFrog gave a peek at some of the upcoming content for Forager. As fans know, the game received three major content updates on PC this year. Those updates are on their way to both the Nintendo Switch and PS4 versions. In a Twitter response, the developer said that a release date announcement is coming “soon”, so keep your eyes peeled if you play on either of those platforms. Further, both Xbox One and mobile versions are under development. Again, no firm date, but they’re coming!
Forager is also getting a new multiplayer update on PC. The last major update came in mid-January, so it wouldn’t be surprising for this update to come out in the next few months or so. That said, everything is still somewhat in flux. Finally, the team is working on a “massive, new Forager game”. Only the developers know exactly what that’ll be. But, if it’s anywhere as good as the first game, I’ll be looking to pick it up on day one.
Forager is available now Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS4. If you haven’t played it yet, I highly suggest you give it a look. It’s not a long game, by any means. However, it’s a great way to spend a lazy afternoon.
