It's been one hellish year for the 250+ employees staff members that were laid off from Telltale Games due to the studio's closure in September. Thankfully, Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment stepped in to announce plans that they would pick up the pieces and complete Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season with the rest of the remaining team members who originally worked on the game resuming their roles at the studio.

With yet another reason to celebrate is one of Telltale Games most sought-after lead writers Mary Kenney, who has landed herself a position at Insomniac Games in the New Year. At the time of writing, her role within the studio isn't clear as yet, but it may be a new and upcoming development in the works as she joins Insomniac. Mary took to Twitter to share her elation at being hired.

Mary Kenney started Telltale Games in until its demise in The New York Times and Kotaku, Mary's future is unstoppable as she continues to push forward amidst the undoubtable struggles that came from the closure at Telltale Games.

Although this is fantastic news for Kenney, there was unfortunately still ex-team members looking for work. Another former employee of Telltale, Emily Grace Buck, took to Twitter recently outlining the existing problems that people are currently facing.

Hopefully, 2019 will be a much better year for all ex-Telltale employees.
