Starting today, Fortnite Battle Royale's fast-paced game mode, Blitz, is now playable for a limited time.

As part of the recently released v3.3.0 update, Blitz mode makes a number of changes to the base game to create a quicker and "more intense" match than the standard fare. This includes shorter storm times and a maximum match length of 15 minutes. Additionally, the storm will start to close in once the match has begun.

Adjustments to loot availability, the number of resources gained, and more have also been implemented to bring the intensity Epic Games' intends to portray in the popular online shooter. You can find the specific details of the mode on the game's website.

Fortnite Battle Royale is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 for free. The iOS version is also available to those who received an invite as part of the game's invite event. A version for Android devices is also in the works and is set to release sometime this year.
