Update: Epic Games announced today that season one will be extended to early February next year.

Fortnite has been dominating multiplayer shooters for a while now and there seems to be no end in sight. Last month developer Epic Games executed one of the craziest events in video games by literally destroying the entire map and turning off the game. Chapter 2 has been out for a few weeks now with a new map, features, and season pass, but it seems that the end of season one may be ending right in time for the holidays.

Twitter user Lucas7yoshi found out after data mining that season one of Fortnite Chapter 2 is apparently ending on December 12. That being said it is likely that season two will follow soon after with holiday-themed items, but we will just have to wait and see to be sure. This is not the first time where information was leaked before an official announcement by Epic. On one hand, the Chapter 2 announcement trailer was leaked ahead of schedule on top of a tester for the game releasing new details on Twitter causing the developer to take legal action.

Fortnite has continued to give great support to players consistently adding new content to be earned and consumed. Even though there is no confirmation when season one will end I think this will give ongoing players a good idea of a deadline to earn everything they want from the current season before it's gone forever.
