The Season 7 Live Event, also known as The Rift Tour, has come to an end and fans are now looking towards the future. More specifically, what could be in store for Fortnite in Chapter 2 Season 8.

When Is Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8? – Release Date
An official release date for Fortnite‘s next season hasn’t been announced by Epic Games. But, going off of the current Battle Pass countdown and the duration of previous seasons, Chapter 2 Season 8 is expected to begin around September 12th, 2021.
This information is indicated by the official Fortnite website, which states Season 7 is live until September 12th. So, it’s likely Season 8 will arrive as the current season ends.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 Battle Pass
What about the next Battle Pass for Fortnite? Well, fans were thrown a huge curveball in Season 7 with the return of Battle Stars and a completely new way to level up the Battle Pass.
Fans can likely expect this new Battle Star system to continue into Season 8 with a bunch of new cosmetics and outfits available from Tier 1 to 100.
As for what kind of cosmetics and rewards fans can expect from the Season 8 Battle Pass, that all depends on the theme of the season.
Season 7 introduced Kymera, a completely customizable skin that was part of the Battle Pass. As the customizable skin was such a success, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if fans saw something similar when the next Battle Pass comes around.
Season 8 Leaks, Rumors and Predictions
There are a lot of rumors, leaks and speculations floating around online when it comes to Chapter 2 Season 8.
To begin with, it has been strongly hinted at by Fortnite themselves that Kevin The Cube will return somehow in the next season. During the Rift Tour, fans were taken back through previous live events, but when it came to Kevin The Cube, he appeared to be on the current seasons’ map. Hinting towards a possible return down the line.
Season 8 is also expected to mark the arrival of the anticipated Anime character, Naruto. After a massive leak over on Reddit revealed that Epic Games had acquired the rights to use the character in the next Battle Pass.
The same leaker also revealed the Ariana Grande concert before it took place during the Rift Tour. So, there’s definitely some credibility to the arrival of Naruto in Season 8.
According to the very same leaker, Season 8 will include a feature known as “The Sideways”. This is rumored to be similar to Stranger Things’ The Upside Down and will release rideable Monsters and Mechs into the world of Fortnite.
