Fortnite's latest update makes a number of significant changes to the game, ranging from the addition of new weapons to POIs to the return of Close Encounter LTM.
While a new chapter kicked off recently, that doesn't mean we won't be getting updates for a while. Instead, Epic Games releases major updates every few weeks which add a variety of stuff to the game. These include new quests, cosmetics, and many other things as well.

The update which was released earlier today added a new POI known as the Covert Cavern. This is the place where players will find the Mythic version of the Stinger SMG, which is much more powerful than the regular one. Along with that, we have received a revamped Heavy Shotgun as well, which has been nerfed to quite an extent.
Fortnite Close Encounter LTM - How To Play, Challenges, Quests
Along with that, a new Limited Time Mode makes a come back which is none other than the Close Encounter LTM. To access it, players can click on the Discover tab and you will find the Close Encounters tab there itself. You can click on Play to get into the Close Encounters limited-time game mode.
Along with that, there are a number of challenges players can complete to get some exciting rewards. Here are the quests and challenges for the Close Encounter LTM.
- Complete 3 Close Encounters Quests – Complete this to get 18,000 XP as rewards.
- Eliminate two player oppoennts within 30 secodns of each other in Close Encounters – Complete this to get 18,000 XP as rewards.
- Get an elimination with 10 or fewer players remaining in Close Encounters – Complete this to get 18,000 XP as rewards.
- Deal damage to opponents from above in Close Encounters – Complete this to get 18,000 XP as rewards.
