Will Dinosaurs Be In Fortnite?

You may have noticed that the very first point of the patch notes above states that “a new apex predator stalks the Island”. We didn’t want to casually gloss over that important bullet point, so here’s everything we know about the new Dinosaurs joining Fortnite.

Raptor Eggs were included in the update that kicked off Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 6, and they’ve slowly been hatching ever since. You can see the third and final stage of the Raptor Eggs hatching in the tweet below, courtesy of @FN_Assist.

So, it looks like these eggs weren’t just added for aesthetic reasons. The brand new update is about to include a brand new animal on the island.

There’s no confirmation yet, but they will likely work the same as the current animals in Fortnite. Players may be able to tame and kill the Raptors. However, it looks like they’ll also attack a player, according to a leak from @FortTory.

You can check out their tweet below to see discovered assets for the kill feed which state that:

“A wild Raptor eliminated {PlayerName}”
“A wild Raptor knocked out {PlayerName}”
