DreamHack will be returning to Fortnite once again this August, specifically for players in North America East and Europe.

Here's everything you need to know about Fortnite's DreamHack Open Tournament, including how you can register and play for a chance to win $200,000.

What Is The Fortnite DreamHack Open?

DreamHack is an independent company from Sweden that specializes in esports tournaments and other gaming conventions. One of their most famous tournaments takes place in Fortnite and is back this August and open to the public.

For those that think they're good enough to compete against other players in this massive tournament, here's how the format works.

The Fortnite DreamHack Open Tournament will be for Duo teams only and take place from August 11th to August 19th.

  • Open qualifiers with 500 duos advancing from each to the semifinals
  • Each duo can play a maximum of 10 games during the 3 hour time slot
  • Semis with 500-1,500 duos and 50 duos advancing to the Grand final. Each duo can play a maximum of 10 games during the 3 hour time slot
  • Grand Final with 6 consecutive games at the scheduled times. A new game starts every 35 minutes

During the qualifying heats, each elimination is worth 4 points. When players advance to the Semis and Grand Final, eliminations are then worth 6 points.

Fortnite DreamHack Open Start Time and Schedule

The Fortnite DreamHack Open tournament will be split into three sections across one week in August. Check out the schedule and start times for NA East and Europe below. These times were taken from the official DreamHack Twitter Account.

NA EAST (EST Timezone)

  • Heat #1 = August 11th at 5PM until 8PM
  • Heat #2 = August 11th at 9PM until 12AM
  • Semi-Finals = August 12th at 7PM until 10PM
  • Grand Finals = August 18th at 7PM until 11PM

EUROPE (CEST Timezone)

  • Heat #1 = August 11th at 5PM until 8PM
  • Heat #2 = August 11th at 9PM until 12AM
  • Heat #3 = Augusut 12th at 6PM until 9PM
  • Semi-Finals = August 18th at 7PM until 10PM
  • Grand Finals = August 19th at 7PM until 11PM

How To Register and Play In The Fortnite DreamHack Open Tournament

Registering and playing in the Fortnite DreamHack Open is simple. Just follow the steps below to jump into the tournament from August 11th to 19th.

  • Open Fortnite on your platform of choice
  • Navigate to the Compete tab
  • Scroll through the options until you find the tournament hosted by DreamHack
  • Select the Tournament and begin playing
