Just in time for Halloween, Epic Games has today released the latest update for Fortnite which features the new limited time event that is called Fortnitemares.

This event, which is both for Save the World and Battle Royale, finds Fortnite’s mysterious Cube having unleashed hordes of monsters that you have to fight back against. Upon defeating the monsters that spawn from the Cube, you’ll then be able to pick up new loot in addition to potentially gaining shield boosts.

Other new additions to this game mode include a new revolver called the Six Shooter, a Fiend Hunter Crossbow, and a new Mythic Soldier skin to use in Save the World. Perhaps the biggest new change to Battle Royale in this patch though is that you can now re-deploy your glider when you are at least above three stories. This added feature will surely shake things up quite a bit, so keep an eye out.

If you want to check out the full, extended patch notes for v6.20, you can head over to Epic’s site right here. There is also a new trailer showcasing some of the Fortnitemare festivities down below.
