Ever since Epic Games launched Fortnite all the way back in 2017, the online battle royale title has seen a vast amount of changes. The developers certainly don't hold back when it comes to exploring creativity and as a result, we have seen it go from strength to strength. When it comes to crossovers, not many games do it as well as Fortnite. Recently we have seen a crossover that included GI Joe and God of War. But could the next guest star come from the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise?

According to Fortnite leaker, HYPEX has found evidence that a crossover with Five Nights at Freddy’s could be in the works for Season 5. Apparently, they uncovered a new skin hidden in the game's files with the codename "FrenchFry." which could be Freddy Fazbear from Five Nights at Freddy’s. Usually how it works is the first letter in every codename matches the first name of a character the skin is based on and that can be seen, for example, Tyler "Ninja" Blevin’s skin which was codenamed “TourBus.”

HYPEX also found seven audio files with what seems to be Foxy’s footsteps in Five Nights at Freddy’s. It will certainly be an interesting step to take for Fortnite but until we get something official from Epic, let's take this newly found evidence with a pinch of salt just for now.

It's safe to say Fortnite has been opening their doors to a whole host of characters of late that included The Mandalorian and The Walking Dead alongside iconic gaming characters like Halo‘s Master Chief. Hopefully, we will hear soon if Freddy Fazbear from Five Nights at Freddy’s will actually be making an appearance so check back with DualShockers for all the news.

Fortnite is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, and mobile.
