Epic Games has confirmed the release of a brand new Fortnite update on July 8, but unlike the previous patch, there isn't much to get excited about.

It was only a few short days ago that Epic Games deployed the anticipated v21.20 update on all platforms. The new content update included some new Indiana Jones Quests, a new Charge SMG, the return of Port-A-Forts, and much more.

Today's update is now available to download on all supported platforms, apart from Nintendo Switch. Fans that are eager to find out exactly what's new can check out the official patch notes for the July 8 Fortnite update further down this article.

Fortnite Update 3.63 Patch Notes For Friday, July 8th

According to the official Fortnite Status Twitter account, which deals with all of the technical issues and updates related to the game, today's maintenance patch has been deployed on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Android devices.

The size of the July 8 Fortnite update will vary depending on your platform but should be around the 500MB size.

Unfortunately, there isn't much to get excited about surrounding today's update, as Epic Games confirms that the maintenance patch is simply to address 'stability issues'. Players likely won't notice any difference to their game, apart from the possible bug fix here and there.

If you are yet to receive the update, Epic Games advises players to close their game to receive the new update. As for Nintendo Switch players, the new patch is expected to be deployed at a later date; likely at the beginning of next week. Switch users should keep an eye on the Fortnite Status Twitter account for further details on when they can expect the patch to be deployed.
