With every game nowadays, a new patch can cause a host of other unforeseen problems, and Fortnite is no exception. While the server downtown may be completed, it seems that there's something wrong with the game's next update that is holding it back from being released, as Epic Games has announced that v4.2 of the incredibly popular game has been delayed.

Unfortunately, the specific cause of the delay is unknown, however, until it's released, while all of this week's challenges may be live right now, some of them will not be obtainable until further notice. The developer announced the news via their official Twitter page.

As of the time of this writing, there has been no update as to when v4.2 will be available for download, although I wouldn't expect players will have to wait for too much longer.

Fortnite was released last July and is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC, as well as iOS and Android devices.
