Along with APEX Legends announcing season 4 coming next month, Battle Royale behemoth Fortnite shares that Season 2 will be making its way to players on February 20. Epic Games shared this information through its official website stating that Season 2 will feature new inclusions to the game but are not ready to share what specifically to the public yet. To help the community pass the time Epic will be adding new Overtime Challenges as well as a new two-week event.

Next month leading up to Season 2 Fortnite will also release the 11.50 update which will change the game's physics engine to Unreal Engine’s Chaos physics system. The developer has said that they have begun playtests with the updated engine to make sure that "Fortnite still feels like Fortnite."

In case you need to be caught up, Fornite Chapter 2 released in October of last year after destroying the original map of the game, turning the game off for days to later release Chapter 2 bringing a new map, vehicles, and more.

As someone who doesn't play Fortnite regularly, it will be interesting to see how the new physics engine will potentially change aspects of the game. I'm curious enough that I will probably jump in once the 11.50 update comes out to see how much everything has changed since the last time I played. Just like all ongoing online titles I'm looking forward to seeing how Fortnite will progress throughout the year.
