The new season of Fortnite has officially started, and with it comes a brand new Battle Pass but players will have to wait to gift one to a friend.

Fortnite has dropped a brand new Battle Pass that comes with all the bells and whistles as we slide into Season 7. With a bonus Superman skin, Rick from Rick & Morty and the ability to unlock a range of exclusive rewards, this Battle Pass will be a must for any hard-core Fortnite player.

Unfortunately, if you were hoping to gift the Battle Pass to a friend or family member, you'll encounter some issues right now.  As with many improvements and new items being added to a huge game like Fortnite, problems can arise within the first hours of its grand unveiling and this time, it's a Battle Pass gifting issue.

Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass Gifting Not Working

Over on Twitter, the Fortnite Status account has provided a statement saying that the option to purchase the new and improved Battle Pass for Season 7 has now been disabled due to an issue.

Although it doesn't go into any details on what seems to be the problem, we can only guess right now that it's the implications of a new Season being embedded into the game.

When will the Battle Pass Gifting Return?

Although no specific date has been announced for when Battle Pass gifting will return, players are able to track the issue on the official Epic Games Trello Board. Fingers crossed it will be up and running as soon as possible.
