UPDATE: The Fortnite Item Shop has reset for May 4, and it looks like there's no new Star Wars skins this year!

Currently, the Storm Trooper is the only outfit that has received an update, meaning it will likely be available in the next Item Shop reset on May 4. However, we expect various skins such as Rey, Finn and possibly even NEW Star Wars themed skins to be released once the store resets. That's according to Fortnite leaker,

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there will be any sort of live-event to commemorate the special day. Should any information regarding an in-game Star Wars event be revealed, this article will be updated.

Event History

The original Star Wars x Fortnite collab first appeared in-game in December of 2019. The event was held to celebrate the release of Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.

Various Star Wars cosmetics were up for grabs during the event, including Rey, Finn, and more.

A live event took place at Risky Reels on the Fortnite Battle Royale map, fans were able to witness the millennium falcon land on the island and even an appearance from Star Wars director, J.J Abrams. Players were also treated to a clip from the The Rise of Skywalker whilst they were present in the live event.

Following the event, players could explore crashed TIE fighters around the island and could even use new Blaster Rifles and lightsabers!
