Fortnite Streamer KingRichard Has Been Suspended from Twitch

Fortnite streamer gets hit with a suspension after streaming the NFL match between the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints

Popular Fortnite streamer “KingRichard”, or to use his real name of Richard Nelson, has been suspended from Twitch last night due to showing parts of an NFL match between the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints while also streaming Fortnite.

Half-way through his stream, Richard found himself suddenly cut off from the Twitch servers. Anyone that tried to connect to it again where greeted with a blank screen with it completely unavailable to view to his many fans who tune in daily to watch his streams.

Fans of KingRichard went over to fellow Fortnite streamer Ninja’s chat to tell him what had just happened and to get some clarity on why Richard’s channel went down. After someone in the chat told him that KingRichard had been streaming the NFL game while playing Fortnite, Ninja replied:

“He streamed the NFL game? He must not have known. Yikes, brother. Apparently, KingRichard re-streamed the NFL game. Tim (‘Timthetatman’) had special permission to stream Thursday night games. You can’t re-stream it.”

“You can watch it, but I don’t even risk listening to that. You can’t have the audio from it, you can’t have the video from it unless you have permission from the NFL”

So, it looks as if KingRichards Twitter account was taken off air due to copyright issues. As of writing this, his Twitch channel is still suspended, but my guess it will be up again very soon if it isn’t already. I’m fairly sure Mr. Nelson will have second thoughts on streaming anything else other than his game in the future now.
