Epic Games officially announces the return of Fortnitemares event in Fortnite as we enter October 2022. Nothing further than the event's release date has been announced yet, but we can expect more leaks towards Fortnitemares 2022 in the future.

According to an official tweet by Fortnite, the Fortnitemares event will return on October 18. Without a doubt, the event will feature some unique new skins, which could include returning skins from the older Fortnitemares events.

Unfortunately, there is no official word on what we can expect from this year's festival of horror in Fortnite, but the announcement teaser reveals a neon wolf, which could be something related to an upcoming threat to the island when the event begins.

Recently, Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 officially kicked off, introducing a new enemy on the island that brings chrome-covered structures and weapons to the game. It's yet to be seen how the story will shape up in the season of Paradise and how the upcoming Fortnitemares event will be related to the new villain.

Last year's Fortnitemares introduced the new Cubic Chaos event, which delivered a new Ariana Grande skin variant to the game as well as some other outfits such as Frankenstein’s Monster, The Mummy, and Boxy and Boxer.

It's yet to be seen whether any of the Icon Series skins for this year will get an upgrade during the Fortnitemares event, but fans are surely excited to see what Epic Games has cooked up for the Halloween season as the company teased the event earlier than expected.

As a matter of fact, the Item Shop in Fortnite has already been updated with some Halloween outfits from previous Fortnitemares events, but it is expected that more skins return as we get closer to October 18.

Recently, a Goat Simulator skin was also announced, which you can earn for free by pre-purchasing Goat Simulator 3 on Epic Games Store. While it is not officially a part of the Fortnitemares, the skin does look scary enough to be used as a Halloween outfit in the game.

Currently, no end date has been announced for Fortnitemares, but it is expected to end a few days after Halloween 2022.
