Microsoft announced today that the open beta of Forza Motorsport 6: Apex will start on Windows 10 on May 5th.
The beta promises DirectX 12 support, resolution up to 4K, a single player career mode with a 12-event “Showcase Tour,” a new “Spotlight Series” of events updated on a regular basis, a new set of Xbox Live achievements with the traditional 1,000 gamerscore points up for grabs, drivatar-driven AI, 63 Forzavista cars and 20 track configurations in six locations.
Incidentally, the drivatars will be cross-platform with the Xbox One version.
The beta will be updated through the summer with new content and features, including wheel support, the ability to disable Vsync and an in-app framerate counter.
