Free Final Fantasy XI Digital Soundtrack for PS4 Coming to PS Plus in Japan; Disk Releasing Today

Japanese PlayStation Plus users are getting a very nice perk on November 18th, Sony Computer Entertainment and Square Enix announced today.

Those who are subscribed to Sony’s premium service will be able to download a digital video sountrack with 15 tracks carefully selected by Composer Naoki Mizuta from the Blu-Ray Album Final Fantasy XI Gift of Vana’diel – In Honor of Our Hometown, Memories of Adventure, which is releasing today in Japan for 5,400 yen.

The app on PS4 also includes Mizuta-san’s commentary.

The only caveat is that once downloaded, you’ll be able to view the content only for four weeks, or until January 13th.

Below you can see the box of the Blu-ray And video samples from the tracks in the playlist at the bottom, directly from Square Enix.

If you played Final Fantasy XI as extensively as I did, be ready to shed tears, and if you want more Final Fantasy XI action as the game heads towards its sunset, you can also play the special crossover event on Final Fantasy XIV starting today.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
