Adapting High Speed, the swimming-themed light novel by Koji Oji, Free! – Iwatobi Swim Club initially started in 2013. The anime series follows a group of swimmers and the various competitions they go through, following them over their school years.
Personally speaking, I’ve only seen the first season so far, but it was amazing. Whether you’re into bishonen or not, Free manages to be a well-written, particularly engaging sports anime with friendship and rivalries.
