Free Video Game Rentals Via Redbox This Week

Redbox, catering to an audience without easy access to a video store (or to people who feel uncomfortable buying a used game from Gamestop then returning it a week later for full price), is offering a promotion for a free one-night rental from a list of top-tier games.

Beginning Sunday February 26th and ending March 1st, Redbox subscribers will be able to reserve a single PS3, Xbox 360, or Wii title — though if you want to keep it for longer than a single night, you’ll have to cough up $2.00 per extra day. While a two dollar price tag is far from highway robbery, a single free all-night gaming session still seems the obvious choice.

Games must be reserved via Redbox’s website prior to rental, so with the event beginning tomorrow you should check it out as soon as possible if you’re interested.

A quick selection of titles from the list includes Uncharted 3, Twisted Metal, Super Mario Bros. Wii, Resistance 3, The Darkness 2, Rage, Final Fantasy XIII-2, and the ever popular and omnipresent Skyrim — though honestly, if you rent Skyrim and manage to achieve anything worthwhile within a single night’s rental, you deserve a medal.
