Jason Voorhees is back, and now you will get to play as the brutal murderer himself.

Developer Gun Media launched a Kickstarter campaign for Friday the 13th: The Game today, with a $700,000 goal and 31 days to go.  The game is “a third-person, asymmetrical multiplayer,” which will put the masked murderer Jason Voorhees, against seven innocent control camp counselors. The only thing those camp counselors did wrong is to be around Camp Crystal Lake.

Friday the 13th: The Game was originally Slasher Vol.1: Summer Camp, but luckily, Gun Media was able to reach an agreement with Sean S. Cunningham, the director and producer of the original Friday the 13th movie. Therefore, securing the franchise’s license.

At the time of writing, the Kickstarter campaign had 983 backers and $60,524 pledged. Friday the 13th: The Game is expected to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC, with an estimated arrival on October 2016.

My main and favorite thing to do in my life is play video games on my PS4 and admire the work that has been done in each game whether it's an AAA or an indie. Games are games no matter how many people develop it, it's the passion and hard work behind it. I am a crazy fan of Game of Thrones and love to read National Geographic magazines.
