FromSoftware, a developer best known for the Dark Souls series and the upcoming Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, has also been working on an adventure game for PlayStation VR called Déraciné. Ahead of the game’s appearance at Tokyo Game Show, the developers and SIE Japan Studio revealed that Déraciné will be releasing on November 6.
In Déraciné, players take control of a faerie and explore a small boarding school as time is frozen. Players explore the boarding school, gathering hints and fragments of information before piecing them together to unveil a larger story. The game is quite different from anything FromSoftware has worked on recently, and Hidetaka Miyazaki explained why that is back in June.
According to a new post on PlayStation Blog, Déraciné will cost $29.99 both digitally and physically. That being said, physical copies of Déraciné will only be sold at GameStop, which could make it a rarity among physical VR games. Those who pre-order the game from either the PlayStation Store or GameStop will gain access to six avatars based on the game as well as dynamic theme based on a classroom in Déraciné.
