A recent leak at ResetEra provides a quite considerable set of evidence from an upcoming Armored Core project that is currently under development at FromSoftware, with its screenshots already shared during a consumer survey.

While Hidetaka Miyazaki and his team at FromSoftware are mostly known for the Dark Souls series, Shadows Die Twice, Bloodborne, and the upcoming Elden Ring, the studio has also developed some other franchises in different genres and with distinct themes.

Armored Core is probably one of the most famous FromSoftware franchises aside from the studio's nightmarishly hardcore action games. As a third-person shooter focused on mecha battles, Armored Core 5 was the last mainline iteration of the franchise that was launched back in 2012.

Hidetaka Miyazaki Seems to Be Involved in the New Armored Core Project

According to a recent leak from Red Liquorice on ResetEra, there was a consumer survey for showcasing the next Armored Core game recently, from which the leaker managed to capture several screenshots as well as a summary of the upcoming project.

As the summary of the game reveals, the new Armored Core is set on a massive universe created by Hidetaka Miyazaki. Up to this point, the only Armored Core project that Miyazaki has been involved as a director was Armored Core 4. So, this could probably mean the upcoming project is either based on Armored Core 4 or would feature a brand setting created by Miyazaki again.

According to the leak, the upcoming title will be set on the planet of Bashtar, with dynamic battles and highly customizable short and long-range mechas.

The leaked screenshots, which you can check out via this link, provide a glitchy look at the game as well as the different environments of the planet Bashtar.

Currently, there is no official word on the new Armored Core project, but we might get more details about this game after Elden Ring's launch in February this year.
