Frontier Developments has released their launch trailer for their upcoming space adventure simulator Elite: Dangerous, showing just how action packed their 1:1 scale Milky Way galaxy can be.

The trailer showcases pilots strutting their stuff on the way to their various spaceships before engaging in various space dogfights around asteroids being mined, massive space stations and around large frigate cruisers. It’s a glorious display of what you can potentially do in the game and all set to the Royal Blood’s awesome ‘Out of the Black” single.

Releasing the trailer ahead of next week’s launch, Frontier also announced that Gamma 2.00 will be released today and that there will be no further account wipes wipe of positions or progress leading up to the official release. Players can also look forward to more in-game credits, with the starting balance being increased tenfold with all players starting or restarting the game receiving the new allocation.

Elite: Dangerous launches on December 16th on PC and includes day one support for 4K and 3D devices as well as the ability to play using the Oculus Rift VR headset. You can pre-order the game for $50, a discount from the games launch price of $60, by visiting their official website.
