Frontwing has announced that the visual novel Grisaia series will continue with a new entry, Grisaia: Phantom Trigger, coming to PC Spring 2017.

After teasing the project this week, the visual novel will come in two volumes and follow the "Heath Oslo" incident. Furthermore, anti-terror organization, CIRS, has been rebuilt into a new agency: SORD (Social Ops, Research & Development).

The developer details further:

The goal of SORD is to train a new generation of operatives to defend the country against future threats. To that end, the organization has established a series of schools up and down the country. Mihama Academy, more-or-less left to rot after its abrupt closure, has been given new purpose as one such 'specialist training school'.

This new incarnation of Mihama Academy is home to a diverse group of students, who every day work to polish their unusual skills - sometimes on the job. Mihama now entrusts the misfit girls who attend it with guns and live ammunition. Paying their own safety no heed, these student are again and again plunged into dangerous extrajudicial missions - all for the good of the realm.

Also, four new characters named Fukami Rena, Shishigaya Tohka, Kujirase Sakurako Christina, and Ikoma Murasaki.

Artwork and character design will be by Akio Watanabe and Story will be written by Ryuta Fujisaki.

Additionally, Frontwing has just released their newest visual novel Corona Blossom Vol 2 onto Steam with an 18+ patch available from J-list.
