One year ago today, 11bit Studios released Frostpunk for PC. The game was received well by critics and seemed to preform well in the days and months after launch. Today, in celebration of the game's first anniversary, its developer revealed that the game has sold over 1.4 million copies and highlighted several other interesting statistics.

1.4 million copies sold is impressive for a PC game of this caliber after only a year. Its great sales even meant that development costs for Frostpunk were recouped with 66 hours of release. While 11 bit Studios' other popular title This War of Mine has sold over 4.5 million copies, it has been on the market since November 2014. With an impending console release sometime this Summer, it is possible for Frostpunk to eventually surpass This War of Mine in sales.

As for the other statistics, Frostpunk's developer revealed that 48.3% of the game's player base has actually finished the main campaign. While Serenity mode makes things slightly easier, it turns that that 2.9% of players still failed in that mode, including a Frostpunk producer named Marek who this one year anniversary press release pokes fun at. On the flip side, only .3% of players have survived 100 days on the hardest difficulty.

You can see the infographics that highlight all these statistics and more below. Frostpunk is currently available for PC and will come to PS4 and Xbox One sometime in Summer 2019.
