A new gameplay trailer for the Spyro Reginited Trilogy shows off some of the Frozen Altars level from Spyro: Year of the Dragon.

In Frozen Altars the fairy you meat at the very beginning gifts you with a freezing breath attack replacing your usual fire breath. This allows Spyro to freeze enemies and then smash them into pieces. This gameplay clip for Frozen Altars shows off a section near the very beginning of the level and includes the giant snowman featured in the level's intro short which picks up and throws Spyro like a toy.

Ice levels like Frozen Altars are nothing new to action-platformers, though I prefer the Colossus level from Ripto's Rage for its ice hockey.

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy was originally set to release on September 21, 2018 but was delayed to November 13, 2018 this past August. The loveable dragon recently turned 20 years old on September 9, and there have been plenty of other videos showcasing the completely remade gameplay of the three original games on PlayStation. Oddly, there was also a fire-breathing drone dressed up like Spyro to deliver a copy of the game to Snoop Dog.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy releases for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 13, 2018. Those of you who want to pre-order the game can currently do so on Amazon.
