Developer and publisher Funcom announced they have collaborated with Cabinet Group LLC to create Heroic Signatures, a company that will now house a number of intellectual properties pertaining to the works of Robert E. Howard and Swedish tabletop games.

The newly established organization will manage and control interactive rights to a total of 29 different IP's which include Conan, Solomon Kane, and Mutant Chronicles. Cabinet Group LLC will control the overall rights to the properties with each company owning 50% of Heroic Signatures.

Additionally, Funcom will put more focus on co-developing and publishing with third-party developers. According to Funcom CEO Rui Casais, the company's goal is to "see a multitude of games grow from these worlds and to see the properties strengthened across the board to the benefit of everyone who works with them." These partnerships are intended to bring quality games to its designated platform.

In order to fund these partnerships as well as to help with internal production, Funcom secured a 10.6 million USD investment from SwedBank Robur Fonder AB. SwedBank fund manager Robur Fonder comments on the developer's new investing saying "we see this as a new giant leap in Funcom's turnaround." Furthermore, he states that with the addition of the company's multiple sources of revenue and its shift into co-development and publishing, Funcom will see "increase of cash flow robustness" as well as "boost further growth."

In other Funcom news, it was recently announced its open-world survival game Conan Exiles will officially be released both digitally and physically for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. A Day One Edition and Collector's Edition will have some extra goodies for those excited for the upcoming title.
