Today, France-based developer The Game Bakers announced that the Furi - Definitive Edition is now available on PS4.

The definitive edition not only includes the base game (obviously), but the One More Fight DLC, and the game's official dynamic theme.

For those that don't know: Furi is a lighting fast hack and slash game meets bullet-hell all about perfection of timing and composure in intense gameplay sequences. Imagine if Afro Samurai, Jet Set Radio, Transistor, Metal Gear Rising, Killer is Dead, and El Shaddai all had a baby: that baby is Furi. In my personal opinion, it is one of the bonafide hidden gems of this generation.

Here's an official overview via The Game Bakers:

Fight your way free in our frenzied all-boss fighter, and discover what’s waiting behind the last gate. Furi is all about the tension of one-on-one fights against deadly adversaries. It’s an intense, ultra-responsive game with a unique mix of fast-paced sword fighting and dual-stick shooting. Each of the formidable guardians —designed by Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki— has a unique and surprising combat style that requires focus and skill to defeat. The high-energy action gets a boost from an award-winning soundtrack composed by electro musicians Carpenter Brut, Danger, The Toxic Avenger, Lorn, Scattle, Waveshaper and Kn1ght.

Meanwhile, the DLC comes with two additional boss fights: The Flame and Bernard (each with their own arena).

Furi launched on PS4 and PC back in July of last year and then on Xbox One in December. The standard version of the game costs $19.99 USD. Meanwhile the Definitive Edition costs $21.99 USD. If you're on PC you can currenlty grab the game, DLC, and the official soundtrack bundled together for $20.38 thanks to a 15% discount.
