Futuridium VR Announced for Project Morpheus, Runs at 120 FPS Native

If you loved Futuridium and its Deluxe incarnation, this is for you. Indie studio Mixed back announced today that the game will come to Project Morpheus as Futuridium VR.

Here’s a comment from Director Mario Fanelli:

“Born from our idea that a crazy game like Futuridium would work well in a Virtual Reality environment, we started working on Futuridium VR some months ago and, surprise, the game was selected to be one of the Project Morpheus playable game at E3 2015 by Sony.

The early version we’re showcasing draws a lot from Futuridium EP Deluxe, but the final version of the game will be a lot more similiar to a certain space game with a fox and will sport gameplay mechanics peculiar to VR.

Futuridium VR runs at 120 native frames per seconds with reprojection on top of it to give the players the smoothest experience with the lower latency possible.”

In addition to this, if you already have Futuridium EP Deluxe, it will get full Project Morpheus compatibility for free at the launch of the headset. It’s relevant to mention that Futuridium VR is not just a port of EP Deluxe, but a fully new game.
