Galactic Strongholds Postponed in Star Wars: The Old Republic

April 23, 2014

Star Wars: The Old Republic has delayed the launch of their latest expansion today in order to add new features to the upcoming addition of Guild Flagships.

As explained by Bruce Maclean, Senior Producer for the game at BioWare, the move from June 24th to August 19th will allow the developers to expand upon the original functionality of the Guild Flagships by adding more buffs, transportation for entire groups, and the ability to compete in planetary conquest events. Tatoonie will also be added to the homestead roaster, as well as new vanity items including more mounts, pets, and companion characters which can be used to decorate the inside of the Stronghold itself.

Anyone subscribed by May 4th, also known as Star Wars Day, will receive 1000 Cartel coins in addition to two new character titles and a Nar Shaddaa Sky palace with five extra rooms already unlocked on May 11th.
