The PS Vita and PS4 will be playing host to a brand new adventure in the Gal Gun franchise this summer, as revealed in the latest issue of Famitsu, with Gal Gun: Double Peace, though for the time being it's only confirmed for Japan The new title will be set around 12 months after the events of the first game and will feature over 70 girls. The rail shooter is built using the Unreal Engine so should look pretty decent on the PS Vita's screen. The original released on the Xbox 360 and PS3 where it received fairly positive reviews so here's to hoping that the follow up lives up to and surpasses the original. If you're unfamiliar with the Gal Gun franchise, all you need to know is that it's Japanese and, as you can probably tell from the image above, it's weird. No but seriously, the game plays out as a rail shooter where players are under constant attack from highschool girls wanting to profess their undying love for the player, so naturally you're tasked with shooting them in the face with "pheromone shots" in an effort to repel them. Standard operating procedure right there.
