The annual Game Awards is upon us. Next month, Geoff Keighley will, once again, take the stage as the show's host and highlight some of this year's greatest gaming achievements. Today, the nominees and categories that will be showcased have been announced allowing gamers to vote for their favorite titles.

A total of 102 games and individuals were nominated. Titles such as Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, What Remains of Edith Finch, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and more will have the opportunity to gain the show's winged trophy. As for the award everyone is concerned about, here are this year's nominees for Game of the Year:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 
  • Super Mario Odyssey
  • PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds
  • Persona 5
  • Horizon: Zero Dawn

Tickets for the event are still available and will cost between $40 and $60 depending on which section you choose. Additionally, a VIP package is available to those who pay the $200 price tag. It includes an Orchestra seat in the first fifteen rows, access to the pre-show reception at the Microsoft Lounge, two merchandise items, a VIP souvenir credential, and parking in Lot W which is located right behind the venue.

The Game Awards will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California on December 7, 2017. The show will be live streamed across all major streaming platforms such as Youtube and Twitch.
