Developer That Silly Studio is known for making high-quality, narrative-driven idle games for mobile devices. In a sea of idle experiences, That Silly Studio's Spaceplan is one of the best examples of what the genre can be. Now, the team is back with an ambitious new game featuring a high-profile property. Game of Thrones: Tale of Crows aims to take the world-famous HBO property and explore its history through real-time idling. Give the launch trailer a watch below.

It's important to note that Game of Thrones: Tale of Crows is only available via Apple Arcade for now. Spaceplan released on PC and most of publisher Devolver Digital's iOS-only games like Reigns eventually made their way to Steam. So, there is some hope for those of us without an Apple device. That said, for now, you'll have to sign up for Apple Arcade to see what That Silly Studio is cooking.

As far as what you can expect from the game, the real-time nature means the game is always happening. You're guiding the decision of different Lord Commanders through the ages while they send out new expeditions beyond the wall. As you progress, you'll get updates via ravens that require you to make decisions. These will help shape the history of the Night's Watch.

The core idea is super intriguing to me as someone who plays a lot of idle games. That said, it's the visuals that really caught my eye. They very much fit in with the classic Devolver Digital style, but it just works so well here. Spaceplan also had some visually-stunning moments, so it's not too surprising to see them go all out with Game of Thrones: Tale of Crows.

Game of Thrones: Tale of Crows is available now on iOS via Apple Arcade. Keep those fingers crossed for an eventual Android or PC release.
