Xbox Games with Gold was a bit lite this month. Outside of the excellent Stacking, the game lineup was less than exciting. For January, things are looking a little better. There aren't any huge standouts, though Xbox doesn't really need those when they have Game Pass to fall back on. That said, if you were hoping to spend your January running for weird sausage men and fighting psychopathic clowns, Games with Gold has great news for you. Check out the announcement below.

The first game on the docket is Little Nightmares. It's an excellent horror game that will soon have a sequel out. So, if you missed it when it originally launched, this is a great chance to hop in and see what it's all about. I've played a bit of the game during a recent preview event and it's shaping up nicely.

Next up is the classic zombie title, Dead Rising. This is, of course, the remastered version, which makes it a great place to hop in and slay some zombies while dressed up as Mega Man. The first Dead Rising is so much dumb fun. If you haven't played it yet, you should give it a go.

Rounding out the January lineup are The King of Fighters XIII and Breakdown. I'm not a big fighting game fan, but I know people like their KoF. Is XIII a good one? I can't say, but it's free. And I have to be honest, I've never heard of Breakdown, but Wikipedia says it involves "time-traveling alien super-soldiers", so I'm instantly sold.

As ever, these games will start launching next month on Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
