Gamescom 2013 Interview: The Elder Scrolls Online Gameplay Lead Talks Development, PS4, Xbox One, User Experience and More

on August 27, 2013 10:39 AM

At Gamescom 2013 I had a chance to get my hands on an early beta version of The Elder Scrolls Online, and to have a chat with Lead Gameplay Designer Nick Konkle, that shared some insight on the state of development, on the progress of the console ports, on some difficult areas that are still lacking (like animations for instance) and a lot more.

While my preview will be on a separate article, I can definitely say that despite some rough spots, the game was extremely enjoyable, showing some innovative aspects but still proving very familiar for an Elder Scrolls fan like me.

In the meanwhile you can enjoy the interview below, and hopefully forgive my tired camera arm (doing the interview and holding the camera at the same time is more challenging than one would expect). And if you’re an old Dark Age of Camelot veteran like me, there’s more for you to come quite soon, so stay tuned!
