The world of Killzone: Shadow Fall may be cruel and unrelenting, but it sounds like Sony and Guerrilla Games are going to be more than generous in their support of the game after its launch for their upcoming PS4.

Revealed during this week's Gamescom event, Sony and Guerrilla Games confirmed that they plan to support Killzone: Shadow Fall with plenty of new content and expansions for the shooter after its release in 2013 for the PS4's launch. In particular, new maps will be created and made available to players after its release as free DLC to supplement the game's multiplayer mode, which will come with 10 maps on disc. Luckily, Guerrilla Games already has team members working on maps for Killzone: Shadow Fall, so post-launch DLC seems like it won't be too long of a wait for more Killzone action.

Killzone: Shadow Fall will release as a launch title for PS4, which has been announced earlier this week to release on November 15th.
