Among the biggest titles coming down the pipeline from Electronic Arts, Plants VS. Zombies: Garden Warfare is definitely near the top of that list.

Just introduced at the EA Press Conference, PVZ:GW will feature “Boss Mode,” a second screen experience that will be exclusively available on Xbox One. From the looks of it, it appears to be a way of ¬†players using Xbox Smart Glass to control swarms of enemies for those playing on the main screen.

On the surface, it appears to be similar to what gamers experienced in ZombiU (coincidently another zombie game), where the second player would control the swarm of baddies using the touch screen controls of the game pad while the other player has the more traditional experience using a controller.

Again, there was no indication whether this would also work online or just on the couch, but If I had to take a guess I’d be personally leaning towards the latter.

Stay tuned to DualShockers for more details of “Boss Mode” in Plants VS. Zombies: Garden Warfare.
