Gamescom’s Opening Night Live to Showcase Over 20 Games

Geoff Keighley has recently confirmed that over 20 games from various studios will be premiered at Gamescom's Opening Night Live 2020.

Aside from the rumored Xbox and PlayStation event for August, at least we rest assured that we are going to have a pretty solid online gaming expo later this month, thanks to Gamescom’s Opening Night Live event.

Of course, with the COVID-19 pandemic spreading all over the world, no one expects a physical convention at all, but there’s no limitation for an online stream filled with exciting gaming news about the upcoming projects. Hopefully, Geoff Keighley will once again appear online with its Opening Night Live showcase, celebrating the opening of Gamescom 2020 expo, which is set to be held totally online this year.

As Keighley has recently teased via his Twitter account, ONL 2020 is supposed to premiere over 20 games from multiple developers and publishers around the world. Then, he tried to get people hyped even more by referring to lots of new games that will be revealed in the next few weeks. While Sony probably won’t appear at the show, there are some big publishers partnering with Gamescom this year to showcase new details about their upcoming projects, including Xbox, Electronic Arts, Activision Blizzard, Ubisoft, Bethesda, Bandai Namco, Koch Media, SEGA, and more.

Last year, Gamescom officially debuted Opening Night Live with Geoff Keighley, presenting some new exciting looks at Gears 5, Death Stranding, Need For Speed Heat, and many indie titles.

Aside from Gamescom’s ONL, Warner Bros. Interactive will also have its own DC FanDome showcase going live on August 22nd. The event will feature the first look at Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad, which will possibly be accompanied by the announcement of new games from Nether Realm Studios and WB Games Montreal. As rumors suggest, Injustice 3 and a new Batman game are probably the next projects coming from the two studios mentioned earlier.

Gamescom’s Opening Night Live is set to be streamed on August 26.
