GameStop is expecting Kinect and Move to have a shortage this holiday season, not unlike the one we saw when the Wii was initially released. The devices seem to be doing what they were designed for and are drawing in all kinds of new audiences, with the best selling games being Dance Central and Kinect Sports.

"I think you are going to have the exact same thing with new controllers and with the Kinect Bundle that goes out," offered Bartel. "I think you are going to have consumers following the UPS truck to our stores to pick up that product as soon as they can find it."

That seems like it was so long ago, but I'm sure we all remember the fanatic following of people trying to scramble to find a Wii for a Christmas gift or for themselves. I'm sure we all remember the horribly inflated prices individual sellers were charging, and people who were paying that as well. I wonder if we'll see that again.
