Devolver Digital Announces Gato Roboto With Trailer

Gato Roboto, a "CatMechtroidvania" game, according to Devolver Digital, will be available sometime in 2019 for PC and Nintendo Switch.

Devolver Digital took to Twitter to announce Gato Roboto, which they called a “CatMechtroidvania” game. Developed by Doinksoft, the game also received a reveal trailer as well. The game will be released sometime next year.

Basically, the game looks like what would happen if Samus had a cat as the trailer gives off serious Metroid 2 vibes. The trailer shows off the adorable cat in question named having a great time jumping around all nimbly bimbly from platform to platform while periodically blasting away enemies.

The game is currently playable this weekend at PAX West, as tweeted by Devolver Digital, and IGN posted the first eleven minutes of gameplay from Gato Roboto. The gameplay video shows the cat, named Kiki, being guided by her master to find her suit of battle armor that just happens to fit her.

You can check out the reveal trailer and the gameplay video right meow. Gato Roboto will be released sometime in 2019 for PC and Nintendo Switch.
