GC 2012: Catch a Glimpse of Final Fantasy XIV’s Gameplay and Presentation at Gamescom

One of the most anticipated things brought by Square Enix at Capcom is the first glimpse on the actual gameplay of Final Fantasy XIV: a Realm Reborn, after months in which we saw only static screenshots and CG cinematic trailers.

Today the publisher released a video from the show floor giving a brief overview of its booth, but more important, showing part of the Final Fantasy XIV presentation with Game Director Naoki Yoshida, including some gameplay footage showing a Dragoon engaged in a battle against a tree.

It does look quite great, despite the fact that the video is filmed with a camera, but hopefully we’ll see more (and possibly a direct feed) in the next few days. You can check it out below.
